Happy Easter!

A wonderful picture

Joyeuse Pâques! <3

Thank you, everyone.

The photo was taken on one of those days where sunshine and rain changed every ten minutes. The little raindrops on the flowers, glittering in the sun, looked so pretty that I took some pics.

Hi, Gabriele.

I am glad I found you :o)

Kindest regards from your old pal Ben

Hi Ben, that's a really long time no see? Are you still hanging out on the BBS forums? I never returned after I clashed with the admin about posting a link to my - meanwhile inexistant - website (which had a link to my own forum, and she didn't like that. Duh).

Hi, Gabriele.

Nope, I don't write anymore since our youngest son died last year after an eleven-year struggle with a bone marrow failure. I babysit our seven-months-old granddaughter full time. How 'bout you? Whatcha doin'?

Ben

Ben, I'm so sorry to hear he lost that struggle. I can understand that you don't write anymore though I'll miss your stories.

And a blessed Easter to you, dear friend.

The Lost Fort is a blog based on my travels in Germany, the UK, Scandinavia, and other places (like Flanders and the Baltic States), with essays on Roman and Mediaeval history illustrated with lots of photos of old castles, cathedrals, Roman remains, and beautiful landscapes. You may also find the odd essay about geology or Mediaeval literature.

All texts (except comments by guests) and photos (if no other copyright is noted) on this blog are copyright of Gabriele Campbell.

I'm a blogger from Germany with a MA in Literature and History which doesn't pay my bills, so I use it to research blogposts instead. I'm interested in everything Roman and Mediaeval, avid reader and sometimes writer, opera enthusiast, traveller with a liking for foreign languages and odd rocks, photographer, and tea aficionado. And an old-fashioned blogger who hasn't yet gotten an Instagram account. :-)
